Motherhood in Black & White
Hosted by Gen X moms, Kaanji Irby and Tara Campbell. These two women- one Black and one White- come from different worlds, but have become close friends through their shared experiences as suburban ‘boy moms,’ working women in male-dominated workplaces, and their love of 90s hip-hop. Listen in as they chat with each other and connect with guests about parenting and pop culture and the tragedies and triumphs of motherhood with honesty, empathy and humor.

Kaanji and Tara
•
Season 1
•
Episode 43
As May in Mental Health Awareness Month, Tara and Kaanji discuss the importance of having open conversations about mental health and getting the help you need. They talk about their own mental health struggles and what has helped them, the different messages they received growing up about therapy, and they share ideas for their listeners on how to both ask for help and help others in their own mental health journey. We also find out why Kaanji might be done with Grey’s Anatomy, and, as usual, she finds a way to work in Tupac lyrics.
